This table was built for a client who had purchased a solid, white-oak beam, 16" wide, 6" thick and 11' long which had originally been milled in 1963. We re-sawed it, planed it, joined it up and, voilla; one very large, very beautiful custom table. The inlays (mahogany and blood wood) were the solution to some prominent knots and the finish is four coats of hand rubbed oil. It took us three weeks and, as the pictures show, will reside on the patio overlooking the back yard.
